    BS BE Manoeuvre Training FAQ

What is the Benefit of Obtaining BE Manoeuvre Certification in Addition to BS Certification?

The BS electrical certification does not allow operations in the reinforced proximity (zone 4) of a live part. This constraint can be limiting if you need to de-energize a non-IP2X electrical panel. The BE Manoeuvre certification allows you to cover this scenario, authorizing you to de-energize in zone 4, while being equipped with the appropriate PPE.

What are the Limits of the BS Electrical Certification?

The BS electrical certification allows you to perform elementary interventions on terminal circuits with a cross-section of 6 mm² or less in copper, equipped with a disconnector, with a voltage of 400 V AC or less, and protected by a short-circuit protection device of 32 A maximum in AC (with a 30 mA differential). The certified BS individual works alone; they cannot supervise a team.

I Need to Perform Interventions outside the Limits of BS, What Certification should I Consider?

Electrical certifications for electrician personnel will need to be considered. Depending on the interventions to be performed, this could involve a BR and/or B1(V) B2(V) and/or BC electrical certification. These certifications require a good understanding of electricity.

What is the Validity Period of the BS BE Manoeuvre Electrical Certification?

In accordance with the requirements of standard NFC 18-510, the validity period of the certification is 3 years. A refresher training must be completed before this deadline. The duration of the BS BE Manoeuvre refresher is 11 hours.

What Equipment is Necessary to Conduct the BS BE Manoeuvre Training On-Site?

To train your teams at your premises, a room capable of accommodating trainees and the trainer will be required. Our trainers have mobile technical platforms (electrical panels…) and the PPE necessary for conducting the training. If you wish, practical training can be conducted directly on your installations.

What PPE is Necessary for a BS BE Manoeuvre Certified Individual?

A BS BE Manoeuvre certified individual must at minimum have Class 0 insulating gloves (standard NF EN 60903), a face shield, a voltage absence tester, and a lockout device adapted to the disconnecting equipment of your electrical panel. This PPE must be supplemented with insulated tools suitable for the interventions to be performed.

Our teams are available to answer all your questions!
